*Jet meant for airline ✈️ was diverted for use by Mallya 😱 and his political friends: SFIO report‼️

A probe by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) has found that Kingfisher Airlines Ltd (KFAL) purchased an Airbus corporate jet A319-100 for non-scheduled air transport services operation in November 2006 but it was allegedly diverted for personal use of company chairman Vijay Mallya and his "family members as well as political and personal friends".

But the airline, the SFIO found, also applied to the MOCA for a separate NOC to use the same jet for overseas travel of Mallya, senior employees of UB Group and for "VVIP tourism and chartered trips to various destinations world over".

"It was extensively used by the family members as well as political and personal friends of VJM (Vijay Mallya) as evidenced by the passenger manifest of this aircraft provided by Airports Authority of India (AAI), Western Region, Mumbai vide its letter dated 15.09.2016 for some dates during 2007 to 2010," the SFIO report stated.

The SFIO has charged Mallya, United Breweries (Holdings) Limited (UBHL) and a few top officials of Kingfisher under section 542 of the Companies Act 1956 which fixes liability on individuals and entities for fraudulent conduct of business.

It has also referred the case to the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) for "recovery of tax dues from the promoter directors of KFAL as their personal liability in view of fraudulent conduct of business" and "in respect of any concessions passed and recovery of the duty forgone" for the jet as a "chartered services aircraft which was used as a personal carrier".

*Court ⚖ attaches Punjab Roadways 🚌 bus, orders for its auction on December 17*

A VOLVO bus of Punjab Roadways was attached by a court on Saturday following an application filed by Jagtar Singh, a driver of the department. The court has directed that the bus be sent for auction on December 17. The department, however, has sought time to comply with the order.
According to reports, an inquiry was ordered against Jagtar after he met with an accident while driving the bus on the route to Ludhiana. Following the inquiry, the department concluded that due to the accident, the bus was kept in police custody for nine days due to which the department incurred a loss of Rs 62,370. The department, in its inquiry, held Jagtar responsible for the loss and mentioned that the money should be recovered from him.

The counsel for Jagtar Singh, advocate Vishal Gupta, said the court had ruled in favour of his client and the department was asked to dismiss the departmental inquiry order indicting the driver. But, when the department refused to comply with the court order, the court attached the Volvo bus of Punjab Roadways two months ago. Again, when the department still did not comply with the order, the court directed that the bus be auctioned off.

*Nevada professor 👩‍🏫 suggests Trump 👨🏼 deserves blame 😱 for Las Vegas massacre 🔫*

A university professor in Las Vegas was filmed in class this week suggesting President Trump deserves some blame for the city’s shooting massacre because “all he’s done” is “encourage violence.”

“Right when he got elected, I told my classes, three semesters ago, that some of us won’t be affected by this presidency, but others are going to die,” University of Nevada, Las Vegas history professor Tessa Winkelmann said Thursday, according to video obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “Other people will die because of this. And we’ve seen this happen, right?”

Winkelmann cited Trump’s comments threatening military action against North Korea and argued “words, especially if they’re coming from someone who is the president, have consequences.”

“I don’t know that these events would have inevitably happened whether or not he got elected, but he has rhetorical powers every president has to encourage or to discourage,” she said of the Las Vegas shooting. “So far all he’s done is to encourage violence.”
